Natan disse a Davide: "Tu sei quell'uomo! Così dice il Signore, Dio : Io ti ho unto re e ti ho liberato dalle mani di Saul,

ti ho dato la casa del tuo padrone e ho messo nelle tue braccia le donne del tuo padrone, ti ho dato la casa di Giuda e, se questo fosse troppo poco, io vi avrei aggiunto anche altro. 
Perché dunque hai disprezzato la parola del Signore, facendo ciò che è male ai suoi occhi? Tu hai colpito di spada Uria l'Hittita, hai preso in moglie la moglie sua e lo hai ucciso con la spada degli Ammoniti. 
Ebbene, la spada non si allontanerà mai dalla tua casa, poiché tu mi hai disprezzato e hai preso in moglie la moglie di Uria l'Hittita. 
Allora Davide disse a Natan: "Ho peccato contro il Signore!". Natan rispose a Davide: "Il Signore ha perdonato il tuo peccato; tu non morirai.

Alors Nathan dit à David : « Cet homme, c'est toi ! Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu  : Je t'ai sacré roi, je t'ai sauvé de la main de Saül,

puis je t'ai donné la maison de ton maître, je t'ai donné les épouses du roi ; je t'ai donné la maison et, si ce n'est pas encore assez, j'y ajouterai tout ce que tu voudras. 
Pourquoi donc as-tu méprisé le Seigneur en faisant ce qui est mal à ses yeux ? Tu as frappé par l'épée Ourias le Hittite ; sa femme, tu l'as prise pour femme ; lui, tu l'as fait périr par l'épée des fils d'Ammon. 
Désormais, l'épée ne cessera plus de frapper ta maison, pour te punir, parce que tu m'as méprisé et que tu as pris la femme d'Ourias le Hittite pour qu'elle devienne ta femme. 
David dit à Nathan : « J'ai péché contre le Seigneur ! » Nathan lui répondit : « Le Seigneur a pardonné ton péché, tu ne mourras pas.

Then Nathan said to David: "You are the man! Thus says the LORD God : 'I anointed you king. I rescued you from the hand of Saul.

I gave you your lord's house and your lord's wives for your own. I gave you the house of Judah. And if this were not enough, I could count up for you still more. 
Why have you spurned the LORD and done evil in his sight? You have cut down Uriah the Hittite with the sword; you took his wife as your own, and him you killed with the sword of the Ammonites. 
Now, therefore, the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised me and have taken the wife of Uriah to be your wife.' 
Then David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against the LORD." Nathan answered David: "The LORD on his part has forgiven your sin: you shall not die.

Vidi poi un nuovo cielo e una nuova terra, perché il cielo e la terra di prima erano scomparsi e il mare non c'era più. Vidi anche la città santa, scendere dal cielo, da Dio, pronta come una sposa adorna per il suo sposo. 
Udii allora una voce potente che usciva dal trono: "Ecco la dimora di Dio con gli uomini! Egli dimorerà tra di loro ed essi saranno suo popolo ed egli sarà il "Dio-con-loro". 
E tergerà ogni lacrima dai loro occhi; non ci sarà più la morte, né lutto, né lamento, né affanno, perché le cose di prima sono passate". 
E Colui che sedeva sul trono disse: "Ecco, io faccio nuove tutte le cose"; e soggiunse: "Scrivi, perché queste parole sono certe e veraci."

Moi, Jean, j’ai vu un ciel nouveau et une terre nouvelle, car le premier ciel et la première terre avaient disparu, et il n’y avait plus de mer. Et j'ai vu descendre du ciel, d'auprès de Dieu, la cité sainte, toute prête, comme une fiancée parée pour son époux.

Et j'ai entendu la voix puissante qui venait du Trône divin ; elle disait : « Voici la demeure de Dieu avec les hommes ; il demeurera avec eux, et ils seront son peuple, Dieu lui-même sera avec eux. 
Il essuiera toute larme de leurs yeux, et la mort n'existera plus ; et il n'y aura plus de pleurs, de cris, ni de tristesse ; car la première création aura disparu. »
Alors celui qui siégeait sur le Trône déclara : « Voici que je fais toutes choses nouvelles. Écris ces paroles : elles sont dignes de foi et véridiques. »

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. I also saw the holy city, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 
I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, God's dwelling is with the human race. He will dwell with them and they will be his people and God himself will always be with them (as their God). 
He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death or mourning, wailing or pain, (for) the old order has passed away." 
The one who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." Then he said, "Write these words down, for they are trustworthy and true."

Dopo ciò, apparve una moltitudine immensa, che nessuno poteva contare, di ogni nazione, razza, popolo e lingua. Tutti stavano in piedi davanti al trono e davanti all'Agnello, avvolti in vesti candide, e portavano palme nelle mani.

Gli risposi: "Signore mio, tu lo sai". E lui: "Essi sono coloro che sono passati attraverso la grande tribolazione e hanno lavato le loro vesti rendendole candide col sangue dell'Agnello. 
Per questo stanno davanti al trono di Dio e gli prestano servizio giorno e notte nel suo santuario; e Colui che siede sul trono stenderà la sua tenda sopra di loro. 
Non avranno più fame, né avranno più sete, né li colpirà il sole, né arsura di sorta, 
perché l'Agnello che sta in mezzo al trono sarà il loro pastore e li guiderà alle fonti delle acque della vita. E Dio tergerà ogni lacrima dai loro occhi".

Moi, Jean, j’ai vu une foule immense, que nul ne pouvait dénombrer, une foule de toutes nations, races, peuples et langues. Ils se tenaient debout devant le Trône et devant l’Agneau, en vêtements blancs,

Je lui répondis : « C'est toi qui le sais, mon seigneur. » Il reprit : « Ils viennent de la grande épreuve ; ils ont lavé leurs vêtements, ils les ont purifiés dans le sang de l'Agneau.
C'est pourquoi ils se tiennent devant le trône de Dieu, et le servent jour et nuit dans son temple. Celui qui siège sur le Trône habitera parmi eux.
Ils n'auront plus faim, ils n'auront plus soif, la brûlure du soleil ne les accablera plus, 
puisque l'Agneau qui se tient au milieu du Trône sera leur pasteur pour les conduire vers les eaux de la source de vie. Et Dieu essuiera toute larme de leurs yeux. »

I, John, had a vision of a great multitude,  which no one could count,  from every nation, race, people, and tongue.  They stood before the throne and before the Lamb,  wearing white robes and holding palm branches in their hands.

I said to him, "My lord, you are the one who knows." He said to me, "These are the ones who have survived the time of great distress; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 
"For this reason they stand before God's throne and worship him day and night in his temple. The one who sits on the throne will shelter them. 
They will not hunger or thirst anymore, nor will the sun or any heat strike them. 
For the Lamb who is in the center of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to springs of life-giving water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."

Il primo giorno della settimana, Maria di Màgdala si recò al sepolcro dimattino, quand'era ancora buio, e vide che la pietra era stata olta dal sepolcro.

Corse allora e andò da Simon Pietro e dall'altro discepolo, quello che Gesù amava, e disse loro: «Hanno portato via il Signore dal sepolcro e non sappiamo dove l'hanno posto!». 
Pietro allora uscì insieme all’altro discepolo esi recarono al sepolcro. 
Correvano insieme tutti e due, ma l'altro discepolo corse più veloce di Pietro e giunse per primo al sepolcro. 
Sichinò, vide ite li posalità, ma non entrò. 
Giunse intanto anche Simon Pietro che lo seguiva ed entrò nel sepolcro e osservò ite li posatilà, 
e il sudario, che era stato sul suo capo, non posato là coni teli, ma avvolto in un luogo a parte. 
Allora entrò anche l'altro discepolo, che era giunto per primo al sepolcro, e vide e credette. 
Infatti non avevano  ancora compreso la Scrittura, che egli cioè doveva risorgere dai morti.

Leur dieu, c'est leur ventre, et ils mettent leur gloire dans ce qui fait leur honte ; ils ne tendent que vers les choses de la terre. Mais nous, nous sommes citoyens des cieux ; c'est à ce titre que nous l'attendons comme sauveur , lui qui transformera nos pauvres corps à l'image de son corps glorieux, avec la puissance qui le rend capable aussi de tout dominer. Ainsi, mes frères bien-aimés que je désire tant revoir, vous, ma joie et ma récompense, tenez bon, mes bien-aimés.

il quale trasfigurerà il nostro misero corpo per conformarlo al suo corpo glorioso, in virtù del potere che ha di sottomettere a sé tutte le cose. 
Perciò, fratelli miei carissimi e tanto desiderati, mia gioia e mia corona, rimanete saldi nel Signore così come avete imparato, carissimi!

Join with others in being imitators of me, brothers, and observe those who thus conduct themselves according to the model you have in us.

For many, as I have often told you and now tell you even in tears, conduct themselves as enemies of the cross. 
Their end is destruction. Their God is their stomach; their glory is in their "shame." Their minds are occupied with earthly things. 
But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we also await a savior, the Lord. 
He will change our lowly body to conform with his glorified body by the power that enables him also to bring all things into subjection to himself. 
Therefore, my brothers, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, in this way stand firm in the Lord, beloved.

L'année de la mort du roi Ozias, je vis le Seigneur qui siégeait sur un trône très élevé ; les pans de son manteau remplissaient le Temple. 
Des séraphins se tenaient au-dessus de lui. Ils avaient chacun six ailes : deux pour se couvrir le visage, deux pour se couvrir les pieds, et deux pour voler.

Ils se criaient l'un à l'autre : « Saint ! Saint ! Saint, le Seigneur, Dieu de l'univers. Toute la terre est remplie de sa gloire. »

Les pivots des portes se mirent à trembler à la voix de celui qui criait, et le Temple se remplissait de fumée. 
Je dis alors : « Malheur à moi ! je suis perdu, car je suis un homme aux lèvres impures, j'habite au milieu d'un peuple aux lèvres impures : et mes yeux ont vu le Roi, le Seigneur de l'univers ! » 
L'un des séraphins vola vers moi, tenant un charbon brûlant qu'il avait pris avec des pinces sur l'autel. 
Il l'approcha de ma bouche et dit : « Ceci a touché tes lèvres, et maintenant ta faute est enlevée, ton péché est pardonné. » 
J'entendis alors la voix du Seigneur qui disait : « Qui enverrai-je ? qui sera notre messager ? » Et j'ai répondu : « Moi, je serai ton messager : envoie-moi. »

Nell'anno in cui morì il re Ozia, io vidi il Signore seduto su un trono alto ed elevato; i lembi del suo manto riempivano il tempio.

Allora uno dei serafini volò verso di me; teneva in mano un carbone ardente che aveva preso con le molle dall'altare. 
Egli mi toccò la bocca e mi disse: "Ecco, questo ha toccato le tue labbra, perciò è scomparsa la tua iniquità e il tuo peccato è espiato". 
Poi io udii la voce del Signore che diceva: "Chi manderò e chi andrà per noi?". E io risposi: "Eccomi, manda me!".

In the year King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a high and lofty throne, with the train of his garment filling the temple.

Seraphim were stationed above; each of them had six wings: with two they veiled their faces, with two they veiled their feet, and with two they hovered aloft. 
"Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts!" they cried one to the other. "All the earth is filled with his glory!" 
At the sound of that cry, the frame of the door shook and the house was filled with smoke. 
Then I said, "Woe is me, I am doomed! For I am a man of unclean lips, living among a people of unclean lips; yet my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts!" 
Then one of the seraphim flew to me, holding an ember which he had taken with tongs from the altar. 
He touched my mouth with it. "See," he said, "now that this has touched your lips, your wickedness is removed, your sin purged."

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?" "Here I am," I said; "send me!"

Alors le prêtre Esdras apporta la Loi en présence de l'assemblée, composée des hommes, des femmes, et de tous en âge de comprendre. C'était le premier jour du septième mois.

Esdras, tourné vers la place de la Porte des eaux, fit la lecture dans le livre, depuis le lever du jour jusqu'à midi, en présence des hommes, des femmes, et de tous en âge de comprendre : tout le peuple écoutait la lecture de la Loi. 
Le scribe Esdras se tenait sur une tribune de bois, construite tout exprès. 
Esdras ouvrit le livre ; tout le peuple le voyait, car il dominait l'assemblée. Quand il ouvrit le livre, tout le monde se mit debout. 
Alors Esdras bénit le Seigneur, et tout le peuple, levant les mains, répondit : « Amen ! Amen ! » Puis ils s'inclinèrent et se prosternèrent le visage contre terre. 
Esdras lisait un passage dans le livre de la Loi, puis les lévites traduisaient, donnaient le sens, et l'on pouvait comprendre. 
Néhémie le gouverneur, Esdras qui était prêtre et scribe, et les lévites qui donnaient les explications, dirent à tout le peuple : « Ce jour est consacré ! Ne prenez pas le deuil, ne pleurez pas ! » Car ils pleuraient tous en entendant les paroles de la Loi. 
Esdras leur dit encore : « Allez, mangez des viandes savoureuses, buvez des boissons aromatisées, et envoyez une part à celui qui n'a rien de prêt. Car ce jour est consacré ! Ne vous affligez pas : la joie est votre rempart ! »

Lesse il libro sulla piazza davanti alla porta delle Acque, dallo spuntar della luce fino a mezzogiorno, in presenza degli uomini, delle donne e di quelli che erano capaci di intendere; tutto il popolo porgeva l'orecchio a sentire il libro della legge. 
Esdra lo scriba stava sopra una tribuna di legno, che avevano costruito per l'occorrenza e accanto a lui stavano, a destra Mattitia, Sema, Anaia, Uria, Chelkia e Maaseia; a sinistra Pedaia, Misael, Malchia, Casum, Casbaddàna, Zaccaria e Mesullàm. 
Esdra aprì il libro in presenza di tutto il popolo, poiché stava più in alto di tutto il popolo; come ebbe aperto il libro, tutto il popolo si alzò in piedi. 
Esdra benedisse il Signore Dio grande e tutto il popolo rispose: "Amen, amen", alzando le mani; si inginocchiarono e si prostrarono con la faccia a terra dinanzi al Signore. 
Essi leggevano nel libro della legge di Dio a brani distinti e con spiegazioni del senso e così facevano comprendere la lettura. 
Neemia, che era il governatore, Esdra sacerdote e scriba e i leviti che ammaestravano il popolo dissero a tutto il popolo: "Questo giorno è consacrato al Signore vostro Dio; non fate lutto e non piangete!". Perché tutto il popolo piangeva, mentre ascoltava le parole della legge. 
Poi Neemia disse loro: "Andate, mangiate carni grasse e bevete vini dolci e mandate porzioni a quelli che nulla hanno di preparato, perché questo giorno è consacrato al Signore nostro; non vi rattristate, perché la gioia del Signore è la vostra forza".

On the first day of the seventh month, therefore, Ezra the priest brought the law before the assembly, which consisted of men, women, and those children old enough to understand.

Standing at one end of the open place that was before the Water Gate, he read out of the book from daybreak till midday, in the presence of the men, the women, and those children old enough to understand; and all the people listened attentively to the book of the law. 
Ezra the scribe stood on a wooden platform that had been made for the occasion; at his right side stood Mattithiah, Shema, Anaiah, Uriah, Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, and on his left Pedaiah, Mishael, Malchijah, Hashum, Hashbaddanah, Zechariah, Meshullam. 
Ezra opened the scroll so that all the people might see it (for he was standing higher up than any of the people); and, as he opened it, all the people rose. 
Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God, and all the people, their hands raised high, answered, "Amen, amen!" Then they bowed down and prostrated themselves before the LORD, their faces to the ground. 
Ezra read plainly from the book of the law of God, interpreting it so that all could understand what was read. 
Then (Nehemiah, that is, His Excellency, and) Ezra the priest-scribe (and the Levites who were instructing the people) said to all the people: "Today is holy to the LORD your God. Do not be sad, and do not weep"-for all the people were weeping as they heard the words of the law. 
He said further: "Go, eat rich foods and drink sweet drinks, and allot portions to those who had nothing prepared; for today is holy to our LORD. Do not be saddened this day, for rejoicing in the LORD must be your strength!"

Les dons de la grâce sont variés, mais c'est toujours le même Esprit. Les fonctions sont variées, mais c'est toujours le même Seigneur. Les activités sont variées, mais c'est toujours le même Dieu. Chacun reçoit le don de manifester l'Esprit en vue du bien de tous. A celui-ci est donné, grâce à l'Esprit, le langage de la sagesse ; à un autre, toujours par l'Esprit, le langage de la connaissance ; un autre reçoit, dans l'Esprit, le don de la foi ; un autre encore, des pouvoirs de guérison dans l'unique Esprit ; un autre peut faire des miracles, un autre est un prophète, un autre sait reconnaître ce qui vient vraiment de l'Esprit ; l'un reçoit le don de dire toutes sortes de paroles mystérieuses, l'autre le don de les interpréter. Mais celui qui agit en tout cela, c'est le même et unique Esprit : il distribue ses dons à chacun, selon sa volonté.

Vi sono poi diversità di carismi, ma uno solo è lo Spirito;

vi sono diversità di ministeri, ma uno solo è il Signore; 
vi sono diversità di operazioni, ma uno solo è Dio, che opera tutto in tutti. 
E a ciascuno è data una manifestazione particolare dello Spirito per l'utilità comune: 
a uno viene concesso dallo Spirito il linguaggio della sapienza; a un altro invece, per mezzo dello stesso Spirito, il linguaggio di scienza; 
a uno la fede per mezzo dello stesso Spirito; a un altro il dono di far guarigioni per mezzo dell'unico Spirito; 
a uno il potere dei miracoli; a un altro il dono della profezia; a un altro il dono di distinguere gli spiriti; a un altro le varietà delle lingue; a un altro infine l'interpretazione delle lingue. 
Ma tutte queste cose è l'unico e il medesimo Spirito che le opera, distribuendole a ciascuno come vuole.

There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit;

there are different forms of service but the same Lord; 
there are different workings but the same God who produces all of them in everyone. 
To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit is given for some benefit. 
To one is given through the Spirit the expression of wisdom; to another the expression of knowledge according to the same Spirit; 
to another faith by the same Spirit; to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit; 
to another mighty deeds; to another prophecy; to another discernment of spirits; to another varieties of tongues; to another interpretation of tongues. 
But one and the same Spirit produces all of these, distributing them individually to each person as he wishes.

È apparsa infatti la grazia di Dio, apportatrice di salvezza per tutti gli uomini,

che ci insegna a rinnegare l'empietà e i desideri mondani e a vivere con sobrietà, giustizia e pietà in questo mondo, 
nell'attesa della beata speranza e della manifestazione della gloria del nostro grande Dio e salvatore Gesù Cristo; 
il quale ha dato se stesso per noi, per riscattarci da ogni iniquità e formarsi un popolo puro che gli appartenga, zelante nelle opere buone. 
Quando però si sono manifestati la bontà di Dio, salvatore nostro, e il suo amore per gli uomini, 
egli ci ha salvati non in virtù di opere di giustizia da noi compiute, ma per sua misericordia mediante un lavacro di rigenerazione e di rinnovamento nello Spirito Santo, 
effuso da lui su di noi abbondantemente per mezzo di Gesù Cristo, salvatore nostro, 
perché giustificati dalla sua grazia diventassimo eredi, secondo la speranza, della vita eterna.

La grâce s'est manifestée pour le salut de tous les hommes.

C'est elle qui nous apprend à rejeter le péché et les passions d'ici-bas, pour vivre dans le monde présent en hommes raisonnable, justes et religieux, 
et pour attendre le bonheur que nous espérons avoir quand se manifestera la gloire. 
Car il s'est donné pour nous afin de nous racheter de toutes nos fautes, et de nous purifier pour faire de nous son peuple, un peuple ardent à faire le bien. 
Mais lorsque IL a manifesté sa bonté et sa tendresse pour les hommes, 
il nous a sauvés. Il l'a fait dans sa miséricorde, et non pas à cause d'actes méritoires que nous aurions accomplis par nous-mêmes. Par le bain du baptême, il nous a fait renaître et nous a renouvelés dans l'Esprit. 
Cet Esprit, IL l'a répandu sur nous avec abondance ; 
ainsi, par sa grâce, nous sommes devenus des justes, et nous possédons dans l'espérance l'héritage de la vie éternelle.

Beloved: The grace of God has appeared, saving all

and training us to reject godless ways and worldly desires and to live temperately, justly, and devoutly in this age, 
as we await the blessed hope, the appearance of the glory of the great God and of our savior Jesus Christ, 
who gave himself for us to deliver us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for himself a people as his own, eager to do what is good. 
But when the kindness and generous love of God our savior appeared, 
not because of any righteous deeds we had done but because of his mercy, he saved us through the bath of rebirth and renewal by the holy Spirit, 
whom he richly poured out on us through Jesus Christ our savior, 
so that we might be justified by his grace and become heirs in hope of eternal life.
