D'un grand espoir j'espérais :

IL s'est penché vers moi pour entendre mon cri. 
Dans ma bouche il a mis un chant nouveau, une louange.

Beaucoup d'hommes verront, ils craindront, ils auront foi.
Tu ne voulais ni offrande ni sacrifice, tu as ouvert mes oreilles ;

tu ne demandais ni holocauste ni victime, 
alors j'ai dit : « Voici, je viens. 

Dans le livre, est écrit pour moi ce que tu veux que je fasse.

Voilà ce que j'aime : ta loi me tient aux entrailles. » 
J'annonce la justice dans la grande assemblée ;

vois, je ne retiens pas mes lèvres, tu le sais.

Ho sperato: ho sperato nel Signore ed egli su di me si è chinato, ha dato ascolto al mio grido. 
Mi ha messo sulla bocca un canto nuovo, lode al nostro Dio.

Molti vedranno e avranno timore e confideranno nel Signore. 
Sacrificio e offerta non gradisci, gli orecchi mi hai aperto.

Non hai chiesto olocausto e vittima per la colpa. 
Allora ho detto: "Ecco, io vengo. Sul rotolo del libro di me è scritto, 
che io faccia il tuo volere. Mio Dio, questo io desidero, la tua legge è nel profondo del mio cuore". 
Ho annunziato la tua giustizia nella grande assemblea; vedi, non tengo chiuse le labbra, tu lo sai.

Many shall look on in awe and they shall trust in the LORD. 
sacrifice and offering you do not want; but ears open to obedience you gave me.

Holocausts and sin-offerings you do not require; 
so I said, "Here I am; your commands for me are written in the scroll. 
To do your will is my delight; my God, your law is in my heart!" 
I announced your deed to a great assembly; I did not restrain my lips; you, LORD, are my witness.
