La Sagesse a bâti sa maison, elle a sculpté sept colonnes. Elle a tué ses bêtes, apprêté son vin, dressé sa table, et envoyé ses servantes. Elle proclame sur les hauteurs de la cité : « Si vous manquez de sagesse, venez à moi ! » A l'homme sans intelligence elle dit : « Venez manger mon pain, et boire le vin que j'ai apprêté ! Quittez votre folie et vous vivrez, suivez le chemin de l'intelligence. »

La Sapienza si è costruita la casa, ha intagliato le sue sette colonne.

Ha ucciso gli animali, ha preparato il vino e ha imbandito la tavola.
Ha mandato le sue ancelle a proclamare sui punti più alti della città:
Chi è inesperto accorra qui!. A chi è privo di senno essa dice:
Venite, mangiate il mio pane, bevete il vino che io ho preparato.
Abbandonate la stoltezza e vivrete, andate diritti per la via dell'intelligenza".

Wisdom has built her house, she has set up her seven columns;

She has dressed her meat, mixed her wine, yes, she has spread her table. 
She has sent out her maidens; she calls from the heights out over the city: 
"Let whoever is simple turn in here; to him who lacks understanding, I say, 
Come, eat of my food, and drink of the wine I have mixed! 
Forsake foolishness that you may live; advance in the way of understanding.
