Le Temple qui est dans le ciel s'ouvrit, et l'arche de l'Alliance apparut et il y eut des éclairs, des fracas, des coups de tonnerre, un tremblement de terre et une terrible grêle.

 

Un signe grandiose apparut dans le ciel : une Femme, ayant le soleil pour manteau, la lune sous les pieds, et sur la tête une couronne de douze étoiles. Elle était enceinte et elle criait, torturée par les douleurs de l'enfantement. Un autre signe apparut dans le ciel : un énorme dragon, rouge feu, avec sept têtes et dix cornes, et sur chaque tête un diadème. Sa queue balayait le tiers des étoiles du ciel, et les précipita sur la terre. Le Dragon se tenait devant la femme qui allait enfanter, afin de dévorer l'enfant dès sa naissance. Or, la Femme mit au monde un fils, un enfant mâle, celui qui sera le berger de toutes les nations, les menant avec un sceptre de fer. L'enfant fut enlevé auprès de Dieu et de son Trône, et la Femme s'enfuit au désert, où Dieu lui a préparé une place, pour qu'elle y soit nourrie pendant mille deux cent soixante jours Alors j'entendis dans le ciel une voix puissante, qui proclamait :  Voici maintenant le salut, la puissance et la royauté, et le pouvoir !

Car l'accusateur de nos frères a été rejeté, lui qui les accusait jour et nuit...

Allora si aprì il santuario di Dio nel cielo e apparve nel santuario l'arca dell'alleanza. Ne seguirono folgori, voci, scoppi di tuono, terremoto e una tempesta di grandine. 
Nel cielo apparve poi un segno grandioso: una donna vestita di sole, con la luna sotto i suoi piedi e sul suo capo una corona di dodici stelle. 
Era incinta e gridava per le doglie e il travaglio del parto. 
Allora apparve un altro segno nel cielo: un enorme drago rosso, con sette teste e dieci corna e sulle teste sette diademi; 
la sua coda trascinava giù un terzo delle stelle del cielo e le precipitava sulla terra. Il drago si pose davanti alla donna che stava per partorire per divorare il bambino appena nato. 
Essa partorì un figlio maschio, destinato a governare tutte le nazioni con scettro di ferro, e il figlio fu subito rapito verso Dio e verso il suo trono. 
La donna invece fuggì nel deserto, ove Dio le aveva preparato un rifugio perché vi fosse nutrita per milleduecentosessanta giorni. 
Allora udii una gran voce nel cielo che diceva: "Ora si è compiuta la salvezza, la forza e il regno del nostro Dio e la potenza del suo Cristo, poiché è stato precipitato l'accusatore dei nostri fratelli,

colui che li accusava davanti al nostro Dio giorno e notte...

Then God's temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant could be seen in the temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings, and peals of thunder, an earthquake, and a violent hailstorm.

A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. 
She was with child and wailed aloud in pain as she labored to give birth. 
Then another sign appeared in the sky; it was a huge red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on its heads were seven diadems. 
Its tail swept away a third of the stars in the sky and hurled them down to the earth. Then the dragon stood before the woman about to give birth, to devour her child when she gave birth. 
She gave birth to a son, a male child, destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod. Her child was caught up to God and his throne. 
The woman herself fled into the desert where she had a place prepared by God, that there she might be taken care of for twelve hundred and sixty days. 
Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: Now have salvation and power come, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Anointed. For the accuser of our brothers is cast out,

who accuses them before our God day and night...
